Vintage Leather luggage, Gladstone bag, Kit Bag.
A traditional square mouth brown leather 'Gladstone' bag. The bag is fitted with four brass studded feet (one missing), a central push button lock, two leather straps and a single carry handle. The bag has a very good decorative appeal and is in good usable condition. Embossed on the front are the initials 'A.A.P.'.
Gladstone bags are named after the 19th cent British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone; the bags are usually constructed of leather fitted over a metal frame.
