Vintage Fishing Picture, Thursday by Dendy Sadler.
A framed fishing picture after the painting by Dendy Sadler entitled 'Thursday'. The main image depicts a group of monks of the order of St. Francis fishing on the river bank near their monastery for the next day's meal. There is a remarque in the bottom margin showing a monk about to eat the fish that they have caught. The etching is signed in pencil by both artist and etcher, Sadler and Brooker. Printed along the top of the picture 'Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1905, in the office of the librarian of Congress at Washington U.S.A. Printed in London by T. Brooker & Co.' and along the bottom 'London, Published September 1905 by L.H. Lefevre & Son, 1a King Street, St. James's L.W. The Proprietors of the copyright'.
