A framed and mounted coloured 20th century reproduction print designed & etched by E.F. Lambert. The picture depicts a group of men in the throws of a billiard match. Two gentlemen are playing, one is keeping score whilst five are spectators. Note they are playing with a more conventional cue rather than the mace or spoon (push cue) that can be seen in the cue racks. Printed in the bottom margin 'Designed & etched by E.F. Lambert. London, published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, 1827, Engraved by G. Hunt'.
George Hunt (19th Century) was an English etcher/aquatint artist. E.F. Lambert (1790-1846) was an English printmaker and draughtsman.
