Early Cane And Leather Fishing Creel
Early Cane And Leather Fishing Creel
Early Cane Creel.
A very good example of an early wicker fishing creel. The finely woven wicker creel is made in the traditional design and is with leather trim, leather and canvas shoulder strap and a brass central catch.
The creel was an important piece of equipment for the early angler as with the addition of damp moss, lining the bottom of the creel, it would keep the days catch fresh.
