Austin-Healey 100 BN2.
A fully restored 1955 Austin-Healey 100 BN2.
This is one of the few original right hand drive cars built in November 1955 for the home market, and delivered to Henly's Limited, UK.
The initial restoration, preservation was started by JME Healeys, Warwick, with a new chassis and new body panels where needed, and new doors. The chassis and body were then primed and sprayed the original carmine red. New running gear, brakes etc where fitted. The restoration of this quintessentially British sportscar was then continued by Manfred Schotten. A refurbished radiator grill, windshield and many other parts where sauced. Using A.H.Spares for new parts. The engine was completely rebuilt with new pistons, valves and bearings. the gear box and overdrive where overhauled by a specialist. Once new wheels and tyres where sorted it was a matter of fitting the lights, trim and windshield. The car was rewired by TWS Vehicle Wiring. Two layers of soundproofing were then glued throughout the cabin and boot. Templates were made for the carpets and panels which were sent off to be produced. The new carpets and two new seats where fitted.
This wonderful car is once again ready to be enjoyed.

The Austin-Healey 100 was developed by Donald Healey and a very small number where produced in-house by his Healey car company in Warwick. The car was based on the Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals. Built from 1953 until 1956 the "100" was named by Healey for the car's ability to reach 100 mph. A single Healey Hundred was built for the 1952 London Motor Show. The design impresses Leonard Lord, managing director of Austin, who then struck a deal with Healey to build the car in quantity.
