Rosewood Chess and Backgammon Table.
A fine Regency écarté or games table with a reversible playing surface. One side of the table made from wonderful figured rosewood, the other side with inlaid chess or draughts board made from Boxwood veneer. The reversible top can be removed to reveal a backgammon board within, veneered with Bone and ebonised hardwood on a mahogany base.The table raised on solid sides with wonderful carved claw feet.
A beautiful collectors piece of excellent quality from the Regency era.
