Set of six lawn tennis balls selected for The Wimbledon Championships 1952. The original cardboard box is in excellent condition and has never been opened. The box with applied label 'Selected for ... The Championships Wimbledon 1952'. The brown box printed with '1952 Slazenger, L.T.A. Official Ball, 19'6 per half doz. including purchase tax, Lawn Tennis Association Offical Balls have passed the test required by No.3 of the rules of Lawn Tennis and are authorised by the Lawn Tennis Association for use in Championships, Tournaments and Matches in Great Britain', 'Slazenger Made Entirely In England' and 'Authorised By The Lawn Tennis Association For Use on Hard Or Grass Courts, Slazenger, used at THE CHAMPIONSHIPS, WIMBLEDON, Since 1902'.
