Walnut Auctioneers Gavel.
A well turned wooden gavel, small ceremonial mallet traditionally used by judges, auctioneers, and presiding officers to call for attention, punctuate rulings, or maintain order. The gavel has a cylindrical well shaped head with slightly rounded ends, each end is symmetrical, giving it a balanced appearance. The handle is long, slender, and tapered. It starts thicker where it connects to the head and gradually narrows down toward the middle before getting thicker at the end, finishing with a small rounded knob for grip.
