Gentleman's Hangover Cure Kit, Aspirin & Bromide.
An unusual vintage hangover kit containing two glass bottles, two pipettes and one 1ml glass syringe, all in a leather case made of simulated crocodile skin. The contents are in separate compartments within the leather case. The two glass bottles with silver monogrammed lids, one engraved 'Asprin', the other 'Bromide', both hallmarked London, 1925. The pipettes with cork stoppers and the hypodermic syringe comes with a cobalt blue glass plunger (small crack in glass tube).

Potassium bromide was used as a sedative and anticonvulsant, bromides were widely available over the counter in some countries all the way through to the 1970s, appearing originally, for instance, in the American headache and hangover cure Bromo-seltzer.
