Antler Carving Set.
A wonderful Victorian, carving set in a case lined with red silk and crushed velvet. The four piece ornate silver mounted stag antler carving set was made for the Army & Navy Stores by Thomas Turner & Co. Sheffield. The silver mounts hallmarked 1896-97. The large blade marked 'Spanish Blade, Encore, Thomas Turner & Co. Sheffield, for A & N.C.S.L. (Army and Navy Co-operative Society Ltd), the ends on the handles with registration number, Rd.266500. The guards on the forks stamped 'Rd.251602 - Turners Imperial Guard'.
