Erith Archery Club Brooch
Erith Archery Club Brooch
31390
Silver Decorative Archery Brooch.
An attractive antique archery brooch, designed in the form of a quiver filled with arrows. The quiver is exquisitely detailed, with five arrow fletchings emerging from the top, and is finely engraved with the inscription 'Erith Archery Club'. The brooch retains its original pin fastening.
Arrow motifs were especially popular in late 19th and early 20th-century jewellery, symbolising love (Cupid's arrow), protection, or an enthusiasm for archery - a fashionable and socially significant sport during the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
A charming and decorative example of archery-themed jewellery, ideal for collectors or those with an interest in archery.
