Set Of Four Lignum Vitae Lawn Bowls & Jack.
A set of four lignum vitae lawn bowls by 'Thomas Taylor, Glasgow'. The bowls have discs on both ends, one with numbers 1 to 4 and the other with initials 'W.T.C'. The bowls have a No.3 bias and carry an official I.B.B (International Bowling Board) expiry date stamp for 1955 (this mark was introduced around 1929). The bowls are also stamped 'Reconditioned 1955'. The bowls come in a string net bag with a ceramic jack by Jaques.
The wooden stands are sold separately.
