Croquet Set On Original Jaques Stand.
A fabulous Harrod's garden croquet set with four boxwood mallets on an original oak John Jaques croquet stand. To complete the set there are four coloured 'ECLIPS' balls in the standard croquet colours, six cast iron metal hoops, one winning post and four metal sprung clips. The mallets are 91 cm in length with black and white corded grips, each head stamped 'Harrod's Ltd'. They feature a traditional octagonal ash handle to help a player find the correct alignment of a shot. The mallet faces are scored with concentric rings that aid the playing of stop shots and follow through roll shots. The set comes with an original Jaques croquet stand. The stand is made of oak with brass carry handle and brass supports, it has brass wing nuts so the stand can be dismantled. There is a brass Jaques name plate 'John Jaques & Son, makers, London' and stamped with a registration No. Rd.450453.
