Jaques Brassbound Croquet Set On New Stand.
A fabulous John Jaques garden croquet set with four brassbound mallets on a new oak croquet stand. To complete the set there are four coloured 'ECLIPS' balls in the standard croquet colours, six bent metal hoops, one winning post and four metal sprung clips. The mallets are 37½ inches in length with black and white corded grips, each head stamped 'Jaques, London'. They feature a traditional octagonal ash handle to help a player find the correct alignment of a shot and are fitted with brass reinforcing rings on the head that add weight whilst helping protect the mallet faces from damage by mishit shots. The mallet faces are scored with concentric rings that aid the playing of stop shots and follow through roll shots, heads also with boxwood stringing alignment lines. The stand is made in our workshop and is excellent to transport your croquet set out to the lawn, but it works equally as well to show off the set in the house.
A great garden croquet set.
