Very rare sepia toned late Victorian polo photograph showing a group of eight ladies on horseback sitting side-saddle holding polo mallets. There is a dachshund in front of the horses next to a polo ball. The photo is possibly the Club and Polo Ground at Gulmarg in Kashmir, there is an indecipherable pencil inscription to the reverse of the photo. Early polo photographs are rare, ladies polo even rarer.
Mount size 29 cm high by 33 cm wide.
