A large watercolour of a race horse in a stable signed lower left by the artist, George Algernon Fothergill, titled upper right 'Furious. 8 YRS. By Earla Mor-Rappel'. On the reverse a paper label 'Furious by Earla Mor - Rappel, The Property of Captain Sir Francis C.R. Price, Berk, by George Algernon Fothergill, July 1924' further inscribed 'Furious won the Lincolnshire Race (1920) and the King Canal Stakes, Manchester 1924'. There is also a trade label 'Doig, Wilson, & Wheatley, Fine Art Dealers and Printsellers, Picture Restorers and Framers, 90 George Street, Edinburgh, established 1840, by appointment to His Majesty The King'.
Reported in 'The Aurgus' (Melbourne), January 17, 1923:- Furious (Earla Mor-Rappel), winner of the Lincolnshire Stakes in 1920, to-day won the principal event at the Derby Hurdle Meeting after a year's absence from racing.
