Vintage Snaffles Horse Racing Print, Worst View In Europe.
A Snaffles photolithograph entitled 'Worst View In Europe' with secondary caption "Oh Murther! The dhrink died out of me and the wrong side of Bechers". The main image depicts Arthur Nightingall (the eventual winner) riding in the 1901 Grand National, approaching the famous Bechers. In front of him is a riderless grey horse with a horse falling badly over the fence. In the bottom margin is a remarque depicting a man waving a flag over a fallen jockey, a policeman has his back to us and is holding the reins of the horse. The print is with a Snaffles signature in pencil and the Snaffles blindstamp in the form of a bridle bit.
There are two different versions of the main image with various versions of the remarque.
