Framed Vintage Sporting Silhouette.
The fishing silhouette artwork is unsigned and presented in a period gilt frame. The charming elegant profile portrays an adolescent, standing with a fishing rod over his shoulder, attaching a fly to his line. The workmanship is excellent, and the glint of white at the boy's collar is striking in an otherwise near-solid black figure. On the back board is a label "Miss Godfrey 1831 - 44".
We have a matching archery silhouette stock # 29145, they would make a great display hung together.
