Army & Navy Leather Fly Fishing Reservoir.
A good original leather fly fishing reservoir by the Army & Navy Co-operative Society Ltd. The case contains three pull-out fly holders, each with a wooden frame, leather central pull tab, and hinged alloy plates fitted with Wheatley nickel clips. One of the alloy plates painted with 'Army & Navy Ltd., 105, Victoria St. London'. The outer case is made from "Anti Moth Leather" and features a carrying handle to the lid together with a chrome lock (no key present). The owner's initials, "C.F.M.", are impressed to the exterior.
The reservoir retains a pleasing selection of salmon, trout, and sea trout flies and remains in good original condition throughout.
The Army & Navy Co-operative Society Ltd was a well-known Victorian department store, whose flagship premises were situated on Victoria Street, London.
