Vintage Wicker Creel.
A very good example of an early wicker fishing creel. The finely woven wicker creel is made in the traditional design and is with a detachable canvas bag to the rear with leather trim and canvas shoulder strap.
The creel was an important piece of equipment for the early angler as with the addition of damp moss, lining the bottom of the creel, it would keep the days catch fresh.
