Hardy's Simplex Folding Trout Fishing Net.
The 'Simplex' landing net with patent self-locking head is made by Hardy Brothers, Alnwick. It is a light, handy, and convenient folding net. To bring into play, simply throw the head over, when it locks it is ready for use. To fold, draw back the locking ring, when the head will fall into position. The hoop being made of a non-corrosive aluminium alloy and is very light and impervious to the action of water. The handle is of greenheart, fitted with a spring carrying clip and a brass ferrule end. The carrying clip stamped with Hardy details and with a Royal appointment seal of King George V and the Prince of Wales plume of three feathers.
