Oak Globe Wernicke Bookcase With Architectural Features.
Antique stacking or barrister's bookcase made by 'The Globe-Wernicke Co. Ltd, London'. The six sectional bookcase with up and over single pane bevelled glazed doors , graduated six tier storage units with a moulded top, fluted rectangular pilasters each side of the doors, curved fronts, all supported by plinth base with drawer. This is an excellent version of this popular bookcase with metal straps with clips to the side of each section. The up and over glazed doors have metal knobs and a concealed metal scissor action mechanism. The bookcase can be very easily moved as each section can be separated from the next. Each section of the bookcase with a trade label 'The Globe-Wernicke Co. Ltd, London'.
In good condition, a great cabinet for your books or even your DVD collection.
The size shown is for the complete bookcase. The sizes for the individual compartments are two at 27 cm high, two at 31 cm high and two at 36½ cm high.
