Black Forest Carved Wooden Musical Chair.
A richly carved walnut black forest musical chair with pierced back and delicate inlays. The back with central oval portion with inlaid image of a stag and floral designs, outer portion with hand carved edelweiss (mountain flower), two alpine birds and other floral ornaments. The hinged seat is with inlaid mountain goats and floral design and is sprung, this holds the seat slightly raised until sat upon which activates the musical movement. The musical movement winds up from underneath and plays when the chair is sat on, it becomes silent when the chair is vacated. The beautiful musical chair also has a carved apron and curving shaped legs.
