Set of four child's golf clubs comprising a DRIVER, IRON, MASHIE and PUTTER. All are with hickory shafts, red suede leather grips and stamped 'Hamleys, London', the oldest and largest toy shop in the world. The brass heads of the irons are also stamped with Halley's "Pyramid" cleek mark. The clubs come in an original canvas pencil golf bag with a tee bag full of coloured wooden tees, the cloth tee bag stamped 'Finnigans Ltd. Golf Specialists, 123 Deansgate, Manchester'.
James B. Halley & Co. were a retailer based in London and were a late comer to the golf trade. They sold many lines before introducing their own "Pyramid" brand in 1926.
The measurements shown are for the iron, the length of the shaft with hosel and the width and depth of the club face.
A fine set that is quite rare to have it's original canvas bag.
