A good persimmon wood golf club, brassie, by Charles Roberts. The head with lead weight to the rear, a horn sole insert on the leading edge and full brass sole plate. The club head marked ' Chas Roberts, Special'. A very nice original hickory golf club with a polished grip.
Chas Roberts could be Charles T. Roberts born in Hoylake 1881 and professional at Woolton Golf Club 1901 to 1917.
