Vintage Spelter Statue of Legendary Golfer Bobby Jones.
A golfing figure possibly modeled on the renowned American amateur golfer Robert Tyre "Bobby" Jones Jr. (1902 - 1971). Manufactured by Weidlich Brothers in a white metal alloy (spelter) with a plated effect, mounted on a black metal base with engraved plaque. The golf trophy was for 'The Cleveland Technical Societies Council Low Putts' and was 'Presented By The Cleveland Duplex Machinery Co. Inc.'. The back of the figure impressed with 'WB' within a shield and '4192 copyright U.S.A'.
Weidlich Brothers was one of America's premier art metal and trophy manufacturers in the early part of the 20th century.
