Vintage Holland & Holland Leather Cartridge Magazine Case.
A fine leather shooting cartridge magazine case by the renowned British gunmaker, Holland & Holland, 98 New Bond Street, London. The cartridge case with wooden carcass covered in tan leather, it has a working brass lock but no key. The magazine case is in good condition with two leather straps, later brass corner protectors and single leather central carry handle. The interior lined with canvas and containing five dividers, making six compartments, with adjustable cartridge lifting straps. The inside of the lid is dark green baize with a paper 'Holland & Holland' makers label. The top and sides embossed with a black 'K'.

A cartridge magazine is a traditional method of storing cartridges between shoots. When on a shoot the cartridges needed would be removed and placed in a cartridge bag.
