Stanley's Engine Divided Scale Rulers.
A set of six twelve inch, boxwood, Engine Divided Scale Rules in original mahogany box, complete with five two inch offsets. The good quality box with oval brass plaque engraved H.E Simpson (this may be the retailers name). The lid is upholstered internally in blue Moiré and stamped with the Stanley logo 'Stanley, Gt. Turnstile, Holborn. W.C. & Railway Terminus. London Bridge'. The six 'Stanley's Engine Divided Scale Great Turnstile Holborn London' rules are #10, 20, 30, 40, 50 & 60, the offsets #10, 20, 30, 50 & 60.
This is a fascinating set of antique draughtsman's rules, excellent quality and neat mahogany case with a working lock.
