A vintage Indian hand carved wooden parat bowl. A nice looking wide, shallow bowl with a flat base and winged handle to one side. Carved from Spanish olive wood and originally used in Indian household kitchens for a variety of purposes, including kneading dough for flatbreads like chapatis, naan, and roti, cutting fruit and vegetables or even as a serving dish, food platter. Hand carved in a nice shape. Good condition and a rich patina, great as a fruit bowl.
