Vintage Linen Union Jack.
A very good, 1950's sewn Union Jack Flag in strong colours by Edward Riley & Co. Ltd. The flag has been stitched from lightweight coloured linen cloth with a strong band for passing rope through to hang the flag. Printed onto the band '9 X 4.6, Union, 4B/500, Edward Riley & Co. Ltd., ↑, 1953'. The broad arrow (crows foot) indicating that it was Government Issue. Ideal as a display piece.
