Vintage Ice Axe, Stubai.
A good Austrian 'Stubai' ice axe, the handle is made from ash with a good steel pick (slightly serrated) and with a good adze. This is a fine quality ice pick with the head stamped 'Made In Austria, ASCHENBRENNER FUHRERPICKEL, GES.GESCH.' with the diamond 'STUBAI' logo.
Ice axes are multipurpose tools used by mountaineers in both the ascent and descent.
