Three tiles painted by Michael Lyne, two with Dogs and one with game Bird and Chicks. All of the tiles are signed on the front, to the rear are descriptions of the subjects.
Michael Lyne (1912 - 1989) was born in Herefordshire and studied at the Cheltenham School of Art. He continued to live much of his life in this Gloucestershire town. His subject matter concentrated a good deal on horses, hounds and the countryside following very much in the tradition of Aldin, Snaffles, Edwards and Stewart.
