Set of Six Francis Calcraft Turner Hunting, Shooting Engravings.
Game birds and wildfowl Shooting Season by F.C. Turner (1782-1846). The six plates consist of August - Grouse Shooting, September - Partridge Shooting, October - Pheasant Shooting, November - Woodcock Shooting, December - Duck Shooting and January - Snipe Shooting. The prints are after paintings by F.C. Turner and engraved by Charles Hunt and published by J.W. Laird, Leadenhall Street, London. Each engraving in a new mount and with good colouring.

Turner was a sporting and equestrian artist from Lambeth and regular contributor to 'The Sporting Magazine', and a member of a very talented family of artists.

Condition

The mounts are covered with protective cellophane, hence some shadows and lines on the images. The engravings are in very good order.
