Vintage Snaffles First World War Print, Vimy.
A good Snaffles WWI military print 'Vimy'. The main center colour-piece hand coloured lithograph is mounted onto the printed remarque board. The Snaffles picture shows an officer leading an advance from the trenches, troops in the background one readying a grenade to throw. There are two remarques, one is a maple leaf (top right hand corner), the second shows a destroyed artillery field gun with dispensed shells on the ground with bodies laying around it. This Charles "Snaffles" Johnson Payne (1884 1967) picture is in excellent original condition and framed in a black frame with the Snaffles blindstamp (a bridle bit) bottom right hand corner.
