Victorian Oil On Canvas Highland Lassie.
A great large atmospheric oil on canvas of a young girl feeding roe deer on a highland pathway, very much in the style of Richard Ansdell and Sir Edwin Landseer. The oil is signed in the bottom right-hand corner by the artist, possibly 'J.Mays'. There are six 'bambi' deer around the girl, in the middle ground are two rivers with stone bridges, mountains are in the background.
