ANTIQUE LIFE POOL BALL BASKET.
A good wicker basket for the storage of snooker, pool or billiard balls. These baskets were commonly used at the start of a game of life pool. A coloured ball was placed in the basket for each player who then took turns to shake the basket and tip out one ball. This would then become his cue ball for the game.
Although this item is slightly damaged it is a good example of these early baskets.
