Vintage British 1868 Pattern Cavalry lance.
A fine example of a regimental cavalry lance measuring 9 foot 4" long. Its triangular spear tip measures 12" long, the butt spike measures 6 3/4" long with a shaft made from bamboo. The triangular section head has three blade edges for maximum penetration, the shoe or butt is shaped to fit into a special carrying harness on the horse saddle.
