Vintage John Jaques Croquet Set On Stand.
An exceptionally good quality Jaques croquet set in original polished pine box with Jaques' name painted onto the lid with paper label to the front. It is with four brass bound mallets with guide lines on the tops of the heads and octagonal handles with cord grips. To complete the set there are four balls in the standard croquet colours, six bent metal hoops and two new winning posts with peg clip (the coloured bands on the post indicating the order of play). There are also four coloured metal flags to mark the boundaries of the field of play and four coloured markers. The set comes with an original Jaques croquet stand. The stand is made of oak with brass carry handle and brass supports with a brass Jaques name plate and stamped with a patent No.
