Vintage John Jaques Croquet Set.
An exceptionally good quality Jaques croquet set in original polished green traditional reinforced pine box with Jaques' name painted onto the lid. It is with four brass bound box wood mallets. All four mallets have guide lines on the tops of the heads and octagonal handles with cord grips. To complete the set there are four 'ECLIPSE' balls in the standard croquet colours, six bent metal hoops and one winning post with peg clip (the coloured bands on the post indicating the order of play). There are also some boundary yard line pegs for marking the yard lines on a croquet court, four coloured metal flags to mark the boundaries of the field of play and four coloured metal croquet ball markers used for marking the position of each players ball during pauses in play.
