A good framed polo photolithograph with very nice colouring by Lionel Edwards. The print is titled "1st Bn. V. 2nd Bn. The Durham Light Infantry Toulston - 24 August 1955", signed in pencil by the artist. There is an original key image on the rear naming all the polo players in the picture.
The players are:-
Major T. Reynolds, Major C. M. D'arcy - Irvine, Major J. O. Collingwood, Lieut. P. C. Alexander, Major R. B. Humphreys, Major J. H. Taylor, Lieut. Colonel P. H. M. May and Lieut. Colonel K. M. W. Leather.
Lionel Edwards is best known for his Foxhunting scenes but also produced pictures of horse racing, polo,shooting, golfing and fishing.
