Hardy's 'Zephyr' Fishing Pocket Bottle
HARDY ZEPHYR POCKET BOTTLE.
A very rare Hardy's fishing 'Zephyr' pocket bottle for dry fly preparation. The bottle is made of brass with a wooden and cork lid and is engraved on one side 'MADE BY HARDY BROS LTD. ALNWICK. ENGLAND', the other side has the royal crest 'by appointment'.It comes with an interior spring which is not the original. The bottle is designed for use with 'Zephyr' or similar preparations to prepare the fly by dipping it in the liquid. As is the case of all Hardy items this is a well manufactured piece. We have taken an image from one of Hardy's Anglers' Guides with the Zephyr oil and pocket bottle, the bottle in the illustration is slightly different to ours as the inner bottle is made of glass and not brass.
