Three James Braid Marsuma Cigarette Cards.
These wonderful cigarette cards were issued from Marsuma Pure Virginia Cigarette packages from the Marsuma Company. The set comprises of eleven 'Famous Golfers and Their Strokes' on fifty different cards. Actual famous golfers were used in the photographs and are named on the backs of the cards, the golfers in the full set are Harry Vardon, James Braid, Edward Ray, George Duncan, J.H. Taylor, John Ball, C. Mayo, Arnaud Massy, H.H. Hilton, Walter Travis, E. Blackwell.
The three cards here for sale are all of James Braid, No. 5, 12 and 33, and can be used as a teaching aid. The series No.s 4 to 12 when put together give a cinematograph effect and include much teaching for those who have eyes to see.
