Masonic / Sportsman Golf Tankard.
A white glazed ceramic tankard with golf scene and Masonic emblem. The golf scene shows an inebriated golfer lent against a tree, his club strewn across the ground, talking to his golf ball. The slogan running along the base 'A Famous Sportsman and a Judge of Wine'. To the rear a Masonic emblem consisting of 'Square and Compass' and the words 'Worshipful Master William Wilson, Tuscan Lodge, No. 4427'.
The Lancashire Masonic Hall (Tuscan Lodge, No. 4427) was founded around 1894 and was erased 12th September 2007 in order to amalgamate with Oak Lodge No. 5755 and Lambert Head Lodge No. 6387, to become Tuscan Oak and Lambert Head Lodge No. 6387.
The size shown is excluding the handle, this protrudes by an extra 3½ cm.
