Staffordshire Ceramic Golf Plate.
An early Staffordshire transferware plate with a Scottish golf scene in the center with a flower-sprig moulded border within two hand painted red tram lines. The central scene depicts three Scottish men wearing traditional Scottish clothing, kilts, sporrans and Tam o' Shanters. The gentleman in the foreground has a longnose club in his hands ready to strike the golf ball. Behind him is his playing partner and a caddie with a handful of golf clubs.
