Vintage Golf Club, Putter By Cann & Taylor With J.H Taylor Autograph
Vintage Hickory Golf Club, Putter, Cann & Taylor.
A nice, shallow face blade putter with hand punched dot face markings. The hickory shaft with J. H. Taylor "Autograph" and a polished leather grip. The rear of the club head marked 'Warranted Hand Forged, J. H. Taylor "Autograph", Re.No. 303868/08, Putter' and the Cann & Taylor 'Fliweel' cleek mark, which was used between 1895 and 1930.
A great golf club putter in good original condition, a good usable collector's item.
John Henry "J.H." Taylor was best known for his fine British Open play, winning his first Open in 1894 and went on to win it a further four times.
