Early Smooth Face Lofting Iron By W. Park, Musselburgh.
A good early example of a 1880's smooth faced hickory shafted lofting iron by Willie Park, Musselburgh. The shaft is original and stamp 'CLS, John Wisden & Co. 21 Cranbourn St. London W.C', the club head stamped 'W. Park, Maker, Musselburgh'. The sheep skin grip is missing, only the listing remains with remnants of the grip. The iron club head is pitted but otherwise a great looking, decorative club with fairly large face.
