An impressive mix method engraving "CROSSING THE TAY" after Frederick Tayler. The engraving is with title and framed in an old maple frame. Published by Henry Graves & Co., engraved by Frederick Stacpoole. The picture depicts otterhounds and their keepers crossing the river in a rowing boat being rowed by a lady. There are many more dogs following in the water while another man can be seen watching from the river bank with his own dog, In the background are Ben Lui and the Southern highlands.

The river Tay originates in western Scotland on the slopes of Ben Lui, then flows easterly across the Highlands.
