Little is known about the artist, Harry Bingham Neilson (1861-1941), except that he was a sporting illustrator and painter, based mainly in Cheshire. He wrote and illustrated "How to draw in pen and ink" in 1905 and was the illustrator for Sir Francis Burnald's book entitled "The Foxes Frolic".
