John Hassall
John Hassall was born in Kent in 1868 and lived until 1948. He was one of the most influential illustrators of the early twentieth century and illustrated ads prints pottery and postcards in England. He was a contemporary of Cecil Aldin and similarly a member of the London Sketch Club and produced several well known golfing images.
