Motorcycling Personalities Past and Present By Sallon.
A wonderful set of 55 colourful humorous motor cycling caricatures by Sallon of the Daily Mirror. The prints are taken from the book "MOTOR-CYCLING PERSONALITIES PAST AND PRESENT" and was published by Shell-Mex and BP Ltd, London, in 1957 and illustrated by Sallon. Each drawing is accompanied with some informative text on the individual rider and were produced to mark the 50th anniversary of the Isle of Man T.T and the 25th anniversary of the existence of Shell-Mex and BP Ltd. All 54 cartoon caricatures from the book have been framed, as has the front cover. On the reverse of the frame for the cover are the foreword and the index. The book was printed by Hubners Ltd., Crawley, Sussex. This is a great wall display for the motorcycling enthusiast.
